I acknowledge that I am aware of the new mandatory laws passed by the United States Congress which is the Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and SafeSport Authorization Act or “The SafeSport Act”.

These mandatory requirements will ultimately help protect the athletes/children:

1. Mandatory Reporting Protocols – See Something Say Something (all coaches, volunteers, umpires, etc.), report to the event coordinator or local authorities within 24 hours.

2. There are education and training classes to help understand and recognize what types of abuse.

3. Background checks are recommended because it’s a quick reference to verify who is responsible for your children during practices, games and travel.
